Description We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Accountant in AKRON, Ohio. This role involves a range of responsibilities within the accounting industry, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the reconciliation of accounts and balance sheets Ensure accurate and efficient processing of bank reconciliations Maintain and update the General Ledger as required Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Conduct month-end and year-end closes Implement and maintain financial data management systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles Coordinate and complete annual audits. Requirements Must possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is necessary. Prior experience with account reconciliation is required. Must have a strong understanding of general ledger management. Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries is needed. Experience with month end close process is essential. Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is preferable. Experience with bank reconciliations is beneficial. The candidate must be a senior-level accountant with relevant experience. Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Must possess a strong work ethic, demonstrating commitment and reliability. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. CPA certification or similar professional qualification is desirable. Proven ability to comply with all financial regulations and legal requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience with financial forecasting and risk analysis is advantageous. Proven leadership skills and experience with team management are beneficial. The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is required. Must show a high level of adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
