Global Controller

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the manufacturing industry, seeking a Global Controller to be part of our team based in Akron, Ohio. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing various financial activities, ranging from financial reporting to compliance with GAAP standards. This position plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our financial department.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance Manage the annual budget and various budget processes Carry out auditing tasks as necessary, maintaining the company's financial integrity Facilitate software implementations, particularly in relation to ERP systems Prepare and present financial reporting documents Uphold compliance standards throughout all financial operations Utilize GAAP accounting principles in all relevant tasks Engage in IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Standards as required Perform controllership duties, ensuring the financial health of the organization Leverage CPA designation in the execution of financial tasks. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Functions and understanding of their application in the manufacturing industry Experience in preparing and managing the Annual Budget Knowledge of Auditing practices and procedures Familiarity with Budget Processes and their implementation Expertise in Software Implementations for financial systems Proficiency in Financial Reporting with a focus on accuracy and transparency Possession of CPA Designation or similar credentials Understanding of Compliance requirements in the manufacturing industry In-depth knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles and practices Familiarity with IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds and their application Prior experience in Controllership roles, preferably in a global capacity.
