Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. Assesses antepartal, intraprtal, and postpartal patients for risk factors, normal progress, symptoms of problems, and continuously monitor; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs

Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol

Sets priorities in plan of care based on assessed needs and anticipates personnel, supplies, and equipment required to care for patients based on assessed needs

Works collaboratively with provider to provide exceptional care

Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures

Provides patient and family education

Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
