Driver/Fabricator Job descriptionOverviewWe are seeking a reliable dependable Delivery Driver to join our team. The individual must show up on time every day ready to work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various oilfield locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the products being transported. CDL required, or will pay for training the right candidate.Duties
Operate delivery vehicles, hot shot automatic transmission vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations. Pulls loads up to 54,000 lbs. CGVW.
Must be able to operate excavation equipment to load and unload.
Must be able to use basic hand tools and know how to make small repairs.
Must enthusiastically assist fabricating process, cutting, welding and painting.
Follow nearest routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain safety of vehicle and goods.
Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Familiar with proper tie-down methods.
Must be able to operate heavy one-ton vehicles in winter conditions.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Vehicles are equipped with GPS and driver monitoring.
Communicate effectively with Purchasing and Materials department, Project Managers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
Must be familiar with using pin drops to locate delivery points.
May require heavy lifting and moving of items as needed during deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage by credit card. Must take cell pictures of delivery events.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Driver or experience driving safely for a company.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; familiarity with GPS driving is a plus.
Ability to operate one-ton trucks with trailer in tow safely.
Must be certified for forklift operation, or, successfully become certified.
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving items frequently throughout the day. Must be willing to not over-exert or take chances.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be tough-minded. Must be emotionally stable when dealing with customers, co-workers and other motorists.
