It’s rewarding work, with an inspiring team, where every contribution matters.About the role:Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Salvage Engineer for our West Fargo, North Dakota facility. This role involves identifying salvage opportunities and overseeing the development and implementation of remanufactured solutions. The position requires collaboration across the enterprise to provide guidance on salvage solutions and to develop alternative salvage technologies. Additionally, the role is responsible for planning and delivering projects to process partners.Job responsibilities will Include but are not limited to:
Conduct research on new materials and competitive products, and organize, coordinate, and execute the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
Participate in and support the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Assist Reman Product Engineers by evaluating new products, processes, or systems for remanufacturing feasibility.
Support the creation and maintenance of Salvage Prints.
Collaborate with Reman Salvage Development to develop validated salvage processes for partners, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon procedures.
Provide technical guidance on salvage processes to global teams.
Support Reman NPI Seed to Reman initiatives and execute salvage processes.
Communicate results effectively to customers, team members and leadership.
Stay informed about innovative technologies through research and development of new salvage solutions.

Product Design and Development: Working Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Top Candidates Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in drivetrain manufacturing, remanufacturing, or salvage technologies
Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks
