Hornbacher's has an opening for an Assistant Frozen Food/Dairy Department Manager at our Moorhead, Northport andGateway West locations. The individual will be responsible to effectively assist in the direction and supervision of all functions and activities of the Grocery department while achieving sales and profit goals.PPRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
To develop proficiency and provide assistance in managing of Frozen Food/Dairy department
operations and merchandising. To contribute toward ensuring a positive shopping environment
for customers and positive working conditions for employees.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Organize and direct work of stock crew.
Assist in merchandising of Frozen Food/ Dairy department.
Provides ordering of aisle stock for Frozen Food/ Dairy department.
Monitors Frozen Food/ Dairy department sanitation to ensure proper conditions.
Monitors and participates in receiving function and backroom organization.
Monitors store conditions as assigned or in absence of Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Frozen Food/ Dairy Manager
Keeps Frozen Food/ Dairy Manager informed about specific conditions in Frozen Food/ Dairy Departmentas well as success and problems and provides suggestions for improvements where possible.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assists in managing loss prevention efforts for the department.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
