Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkJob DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for the timely entry of vendor invoices and payment processing, as well as other miscellaneous accounts payable and administrative duties as assigned. During busy times, up to 500-600 invoices need to be keyed in. This role also involves matching invoices to purchase orders, printing AP reports, and preparing checks for payment.Responsibilities
Timely entry of vendor invoices and payment processing.
Match invoices to purchase orders.
Print AP reports and prepare checks for payment.
Contact vendors regarding errors on invoices.
File necessary documents.
Provide backup administrative assistance, including answering phones and directing walk-in visitors.
Obtain Certificates of Liability/Unemployment Insurances for subcontractors.
Obtain W-9 Certificates for all vendors.
Prepare and verify lien waivers when necessary.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Strong administrative support skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using Sage accounting software preferred but not required.
Ability to interact effectively with clientele in the construction industry.
