Title: EUC Field Services Technician Location: Valley City, ND Duration: Contract Tier 2 EUC Field Services Project Technician (Deployment Tech) Job Description KEY Project Technicians (also known as Deployment Technicians) are entry-level technicians who provide very basic support for the desktop environment. Included in the support is responsibility for deployment of Desktop/Laptop and associated peripherals, updating of standard ticketing systems ad asset management system updates. Certifications are not required for this entry level position. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide basic deployment activities for laptops, desktops, engineering workstations, scanners and printers.
- Posesses a basis knowledge of PC computing environment including Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10
- Possess basic knowledge of interconnectivity with network, server resources and file systems.
- Able to follow a checklist for executing project activity
- Good customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Update all Service Tickets with accurate and timely records of work performed, and resolution detail
- Escalates issues to Field Service Engineers and Operations Leads when required
- Able to follow documented process and KB (knowledge base) articles
- Strong user level computing experience required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience in factory/manufacturing environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Basic understanding of Windows Operating System troubleshooting and triage
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows Security (Share and NTFS permissions).
- Extensive knowledge Windows OS and related configuration.
- Comprehends interconnectivity with multiple IT technologies (Servers, Switches, Routers, and Data Center related HW)
- Basic knowledge of Backup technologies
- Ability to work in a team-oriented multi tower and vendor environments.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to handle and safeguard confidential information
- Candidates with previous IT related project experience are desired
- Experience working in a fast paced IT and Manufacturing environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift IT equipment for 'rack and stack' services (server, router, switch, UPS devices, etc)
- Must be able to assist with team lifts of up to 90 lbs.
- Abillity to walk long distances within warehouses or manufacturing facilities
- Will often work in dirty, dusty, hot or cold (beyond average room temperature) environments
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders and/or use scissor lifts and safety harnesses
- Some services may require periods of time on hand and knees to install equipment (under desks, inside small spaces, etc)
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- ITIL and/or any other IT related certification candidates are preferred
