This is a Public Notice for position(s) being filled under the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for PERM position of Airfield Clearing Equipment Operator, WG-5767-08.Minot Civilian Personnel Office is accepting applications for the position identified. There may or may not be actual/projected vacancies at the time you submit your application.Opening period: 29 February - 6 March 2024Work location: 5th Civil Engineering Squadron, Minot AFB, NDHourly Wage: $30.35 - $35.40Please submit your resume, transcripts, and any related certifications by e-mail to: [email protected] primary purpose of this position is: To operate airfield clearing equipment and auxiliary equipment.Duties:

1. Operates one or more types of gasoline or diesel powered special purpose airfield clearing equipment.

2. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. 3. Uses and maintains tools and equipment.

4.Maintains records and documents actions.RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):

Knowledge of special purpose airfield clearing equipment, such as snow removal equipment and vacuum type sweepers and attachments used to clear taxiways, runways, aprons, and ramps.

Knowledge of the different sets of controls and operation of special purpose airfield clearing equipment and attachments.

Skill in manipulating the controls of airfield clearing equipment and attachments to adjust attachments, blades, and auxiliary equipment.

Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.

Knowledge of regulations, procedures, and policies related to records maintenance and documentation.

Ability to use and maintain power/hand tools required for operator maintenance of equipment.

Other significant facts pertaining to this position are:

1. Emergency overtime may be required.

2. The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.

3. Flight line testing is required.

4. Shift work may be required.

5. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

6. May be required to train and/or guide lower grade employees.
