MTC Lives Transformed ND utilizes a blended workplace model with some staff providing services remotely and some in office settings. This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.Position Title : Peer Support Specialist- ON CALLFacility Name: MTC Lives Transformed North DakotaLocation: 113 Main Ave East, Rolla, ND 58367Status: Part-TimeEssential Functions:As a Peer Support Specialist , you will share personal and practical experience, knowledge, and first-hand insight to benefit service users. With this position, recovery support is provided by individuals trained and certified to deliver peer-led behavioral healthcare that promotes hope, self-determination, and skills to achieve long-term recovery in the community.With the support of an interdisciplinary team, you will provide a source of connection and empathy to clients, connect clients to other community resources as needed, and help clients set personalized goals to enhance their life.Peer Support Services are community-based. Work will be done primarily in the individuals community of residence.Education and Experience Requirements:To be considered for this position , you are required to have the following:

Self-identify as an individual who has personal lived experience and is willing to publicly identify as an individual in recovery from a mental health condition, brain injury, substance use disorder, or any combination of these experiences.

At least eighteen years of age.

Have a high school diploma or general equivalency. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and write at a level proficient enough for training, documentation, and the type of work peer support will require.

This position also requires :

Valid drivers license.

Successful completion of a North Dakota Behavioral Health Division-approved Peer Support Training Program within 3 months of hire.

Certification as a Peer Support Specialist by the North Dakota Behavioral Health Division within 3 months of hire.
