Since then, the team have been successful delivering hundreds of site builds, including our newest digital units, billboards and large installations.  As part of our commitment to ensuring that we give the best service to our clients we're looking to recruit a Head of Construction to lead our teams in the North of the UK, for a fixed term of six months and with an immediate start! What will you be doing? Reporting to the regional Head of Delivery you’ll be responsible for overseeing, planning, scheduling, building, installation and corrective action programmes across all products for high value contracts. You’ll be required to lead and develop the construction team, creating and communicating a clear vision for the function, whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with clients (councils), subcontractors and suppliers, managing escalated project risks and challenges. You’ll  be confident and capable of joining the team and leading on multiple projects from the outset, ensuring Construction Design Management regulations (CDM, 2015) are complied with at every stage of the build process, overseeing capital stock, ensuring systems and records are updated accurately and within agreed timeframes.  Key responsibilities include:Project Oversight: Manage the delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.Client Management: Liaise with clients to fully understand their needs and provide regular updates on progress.Tender Preparation: Managing tenders and Quantity Surveying to control project expensesTeam Leadership:  Lead and manage site teams, ensuring effective use of resources and optimal performance. Identifying ways to increase efficiency and improve productivityLabour management, personnel issues, recruitment and training Schedule Planning: Support internal teams with the creation of detailed work schedules, budget management, and timelines for each project.Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate business contracts with sub-contractors (where applicable)Compliance Management: Ensure all projects comply with regulatory and safety standards (EH&S).Site Meetings: Attend regular site meetings to monitor progress and address any emerging issues.Problem Solving: Address post-construction issues and ensure smooth project handover after Practical Completion.Technical: Support: guide and offer solutions for our internal teams   Knowledge, Experience and Attributes:  Foundation Degree or Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Management, ideally with a formal qualification. Strong organisational and planning skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages confidently from the commencement of the contract Effective leadership and management skills, especially in motivating site teams. High level of IT literacy. Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
