This position will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, and reviewing images to be sure they are of good quality and helpful for diagnosis. Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicate results to physicians or other health professionals, and alert physicians to urgent problems. This person should be diligent in preparing patients for procedures and educating patients throughout the ultrasound exam. This position will work with a variety of departments in the hospital to work colabortively with review of patient medical history, documenting imaging results in patient records, and coordinating care.QualificationsRequired:
Registration in at least one of the following areas of sonography is required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible.
Registry preferred within two years after hiring.
Licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred:
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year equivalent work experience is preferred.
General, vascular and breast experience preferred.
