As a Quality Engineer I, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Cargo Handling Systems team in Jamestown, ND. In this role, you will have the opportunity to analyze and resolve quality challenges for both military and commercial aerospace products. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, develop expertise in quality management systems, and work with innovative technologies to drive continuous improvement. This position provides a unique platform to grow your skills while contributing to the success of our cutting-edge aerospace solutions.What You Will Do:

Analyze and process documentation for non-conforming aerospace products, identifying root causes and implementing solutions in partnership with Operations, Design, and Manufacturing teams.

Support a wide range of programs, materials, and components, including mechanical and electrical parts, metallic and composite materials, and specialty finishes/coatings.

Assist in improving Standard Work processes and work instructions to enhance operational efficiency.

Utilize Quality Engineering tools like PFMEA, Measurement System Analysis, and Control Plans to monitor and improve internal processes.

Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for internally produced products and processes, following escape management procedures.

What You Will Learn:

Develop a strong understanding of AS9100 standards and Collins Aerospace Quality Management System requirements.

Gain expertise in Material Review Board (MRB) processes and procedures for managing non-conformances.

Enhance your knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and its application to complex dimensional analysis.

Build proficiency in statistical tools such as Minitab and other common Quality Engineering methodologies.

Strengthen your communication and leadership skills through regular interactions with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) ​

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with statistical software like Minitab.

Understanding of Quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, and Measurement System Analysis.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
