POSITION SUMMARYThe Prospect Data Specialist focuses on managing and enhancing prospect-related data within the Salesforce | ascend platform. This position ensures data accuracy, consistency, and usability to support the organizations fundraising and prospecting initiatives. The Prospect Data Specialist will creatively approach challenges, maintain a keen eye for detail, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize prospect data and insights.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSData Integrity Management1.Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect data to support fundraising efforts.

Regularly clean and organize prospecting data, ensuring it aligns with the organizations prospecting needs.2.Collaborate on improving data collection processes to enhance lead generation and data reliability.3.Assist with data imports and exports related to prospect data, ensuring proper preparation and mapping.Data Entry and Updates1.Update alumni and donor records promptly and accurately, focusing on prospect-related information.2.Partner with campus teams and departments to gather and input essential data into the CRM system.3.Troubleshoot data-related issues and communicate issues within the operations team.Data Reporting and Innovation1.Work with the Business intelligence Developer to generate actionable prospect reports to support development and fundraising teams.2.Collaborate on delivering insights that inform donor strategies.3.Use creativity to analyze and present data in ways that drive prospecting success.Collaboration and Relationship Building1.Work with Director of Data and Process Optimization to enhance prospect data processes.2.Work with Prospect Management and Research team to efficiently achieve prospecting goals and needs.3.Act as a knowledgeable resource for inquiries related to prospect data best practices.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelors degree in business or a related field is preferred, but not required; equivalentwork experience will be considered.Experience: Successful candidates should have demonstrated experience working with data, with familiarity in using data tools and reporting software being a strong advantage. Experience in nonprofit, higher education, or comparable environments is desirable but not mandatory.PHYSICAL and COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTSAbility to operate computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment. Ability to focus and complete work in a timely manner. Ability to travel independently via car and air.
