OverviewCHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson part of CommonSpirit Heath a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care assisted and residential living communities community health services organizations home health agencies and numerous outpatient facilities.Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs and priorities of care through assessment, planning, and delegation of care based on patient needs and evaluation of the patient’s response. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.Eligible for $10,000 sign on bonusResponsibilities

Provides assessment of and preparatory care for all surgical outpatients with an emphasis on anticipation and prevention of complications

Assesses patient’s health and continuously monitors; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs

Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol

Collaborates with other care staff to assure smooth transition for patient throughout the facility using proper hand off techniques

Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures

Provides patient and family education

Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

Orient and achieve competency from all areas of the Perioperative Department
