Perform maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems.
Conduct chemical applications for vector and weed control programs.
Serve as the caretaker for City cemeteries and maintain City properties.
Operate heavy equipment and machinery for groundskeeping and snow removal.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Assist with training new and seasonal employees.
Fulfill on-call duties as assigned.
[Required Skills and Qualifications:]{data-start="1096" end="1133"}
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Two years of experience in buildings or grounds maintenance preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
[Special Requirements:]{data-start="1690" end="1715"}
Valid Drivers License.
ND Class B Commercial Drivers Permit (within 3 months of hire) and Class B CDL (within 6 months of hire) with automatic transmission and air brakes.
Vector Control Certification (Public Health) - within 6 months of hire.
Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (Ground Core, Right of Way, Ornamental Turf) - within 6 months of hire.
Forklift and Bucket Truck Certification - within 6 months of hire.
