Laboratory Analyst (Polarized Light Microscopy) - Eurofins Built Environment East - Cary, NC

Eurofins CEI, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst in Cary, NC. The Analyst will do asbestos testing using polarized light microscopes (PLM).The Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples according to scientific methodology in compliance with company Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s. The analyst also validates and reviews data for accuracy, and uploads laboratory data into the LIMS that ultimately generates required reports to clients.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Regular attendance and punctualityOrganize and record samplesData entry into LIMSPrepare samples for analysisAnalysis of non-culturable surface and air samplesAnalysis of air samples using PCM and PLM for asbestos and other fibersMaintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeepingPhone and email correspondence with clientsAssist with customer services when neededData entry of QC activities in departmentsConduct all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerform other duties as assigned
