Job DescriptionPosition Title: Seasonal - Laborer (Food Services)Department/Location: Human Resources/Bismarck, NDCompany: Basin Electric Power CooperativePosition Purpose:This is a temporary position that provides assistance to the headquarters Food Services staff. This position may have to work various hours due to different schedules.Essential Functions:
Assist with the Cafeteria/ Coffee shop operations.
Prepare food for catering, take home meals, deli, grill and daily special.
Assist with cleaning the kitchen and atrium cafeteria area.
Assist with doing dishes using the dishwasher machine.
Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED).
Enrollment as a full-time in a post-secondary degree is preferred.
A strong work ethic and good attitude, as well as the ability to be a team player.
The incumbent must be proficient with personal computers.
A valid driver’s license.
Able to communicate to supervisors and co-workers in both written and verbal forms.

Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:This position requires constant standing/walking; frequently lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds; and occasional use of keyboard/computer, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 60 pounds, sitting, bending/reaching, and climbing. This position may also be exposed to heat/cold, dirt/dust, chemicals, and noise. The incumbent frequently is required to work in confined areas. The incumbent must also be able to distinguish colored control lights and hear alarms. The incumbent must have the ability to read, comprehend, and follow written/verbal instructions. This position is assigned to work both indoors and outdoors.
