CommonSpirit Health is committed to creating healthier communities, delivering exceptional patient care, and ensuring every person has access to quality health care.ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY / PURPOSEA Technician is responsible for the accurate preparation of non-sterile extemporaneous products, unit-dose preparation;inventory control; medication delivery, distribution, and storage; care of supplies and equipment; and management ofautomated medication dispensing systems. Assists the pharmacist in all aspects of the daily departmental activities,including training new staff and students, billing, record keeping and other clerical functions, and other duties asassigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy leader.ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily filling and delivery of patient medications
Refills automated dispensing machines and robot
Maintains proper stock levels of drugs and supplies
Complies with USP 795 and 800 regulations
Prepares non-sterile extemporaneous products
Completes assigned Date checking
Labels all products including barcodes according to policy
Follows appropriate procedures for handling of controlled substance
Relates well and has good communication skills with staff, patients, and visitors. Maintains
confidentiality
Computer proficiency
Other duties as assigned by management
QualificationsRequired Education: High School graduate or GED requiredEnrollment in an American society of health systems pharmacistsaccredited academic program OR an American society of healthsystems pharmacists accredited on-the-job training program.Required Licensure and Certifications Licensed as a ND Pharmacy Technician in training as required by theND State Board of Pharmacy.
