CommonSpirit Health is committed to creating healthier communities, delivering exceptional patient care, and ensuring every person has access to quality health care.ResponsibilitiesSTATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Assists pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care services and participates actively in all phases of drug distribution. Treats all persons for their own personal worth and dignity.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attains completion of department goals/objectives as identified at last performance appraisal

Successfully completed the defined job specific competencies. (List the job specific competencies validated during the year in the comment section.)

Maintains proficiency in Pharmacy Materials Management Specialist duties/responsibilities

Able to process order and put order away

Date check inventory

Process paperwork for medication sales to clinics and other entities

Able to place orders in wholesaler ordering system

Actively participates in Retail Pharmacy operations as evidenced by

participates in ongoing training of new employees

monitors product recalls and or process the return of outdated or non-salable merchandise

process mail out of medication and coordinates deliveries of medication as required

maintains proficiency in the general maintenance of the PARATA robotic system including replenishing medication and vials, cleaning sensors, and changing labels as required

receives verbally transmitted prescriptions from authorized prescribers or their appropriate designates

serves as key customer contact in retail environment

serves on appropriate committee(s) representing outpatient pharmacy and/or pharmacy technicians on local, regional or national levels

proactively anticipates and responds appropriately to changes in workload

maintains proficiency in pharmacy outpatient software processes and prescription processing

inventory management – monitor levels of inventory and assure generic compliance with the McKesson SMO ordering system

prescription filing – maintain the prescription filing system including the reconciliation of all prescriptions sent out for signature as required by law

Completes HealthStream FWA training on an annual basis as required for Medicare Part B and Medicare Part D

Participates in dispensing of pharmaceutical products and supplies to Medicare recipients

QualificationsEducation: High school graduate and must have successfully completed an academic pharmacy technician program or completion of the self-study modules/training as approved by the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy or be recognized by the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy as a licensed pharmacy technician.Licensure: Licensed as pharmacy technician by North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy, including a Board accepted national certification.Experience: Completion of orientation/training in Technician I, Technician II areas or previous retail and/or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.Pay Range$17.10 - $22.88 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
