We are looking for a sharp, talented and energetic Senior Technical Program Manager. As a FinTech STPM, you have the ability to deliver large cross-organizational software development projects at the intersection of e-commerce and payments. Building financial services is not easy, but you know what it takes to pull it off.
What you’ll be doing:
Interact with project sponsors, project stakeholders to define and deliver complex and strategic Projects and Programs
Ability to set-up overarching program structure across different work-streams and manage them by partnering with other program/project leads.
Assist in developing a program strategy, planning and improved ways of working by engaging with leaders at Booking.com and at the Booking Holdings level.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders
Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner
Insatiable curiosity and ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects
Apply best practices to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches, as well effectively coordinating the implementations across teams using very different approaches
Build and maintain integrated project schedules that account for internal/external dependencies, differing SDLC approaches and numerous constraints
Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements’ underlying feature requests and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
What you’ll bring:
Computer Science / Engineering Bachelor’s degree or related technical field
8-12 years of relevant work experience, including technical program management experience
The role requires experience working on payments or FinTech products, and a strong understanding of the requirements and associated delivery challengers of this domain.
Knowledge of the following is required: service-oriented architecture, product development, agile project management, release schedules
Able to effectively work with ambiguity and solve problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong business and technical vision
