About the Farm: Harmony Ridge Farms is a family owned farm set in the rolling hills of Tobaccoville, NC. We produce vegetables, melons, pork and eggs. Our HRF label beef is produced in partnership with Randleman Farms of Elon, NC.
Harmony Ridge strives to increase local access to gourmet-quality natural produce and proteins across socioeconomic divides through our CSA, community outreach programs, home deliveries, market sales and wholesale operation.
We are committed to a sustainable growing system: we employ numerous soil-building techniques in the field, crop rotation, cover cropping and composting. All HRF produce is grown sustainably, without the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.
Harmony Ridge also acts as a food hub, buying and redistributing some of the finest local and regional produce.
Our livestock is raised humanely, outdoors on pasture without exception. 2025 will mark our 16th year of diversified production.
About the Role: Delivering orders, mainly on Thursdays and/or Fridays. Occasionally picking up product and bringing back to farm (Tues, Wed, Thurs or Fri).
Responsibilities: Completing deliveries in a timely and safe manner
Interacting with customers in a polite, respectful manner
Candidate Requirements:
-safe and clean driving record
-physically capable of lifting and moving boxes up to 50lbs
-physically capable of making multiple deliveries while moving quickly, ensuring they are completed accurately and efficiently
-willingness to take direction and to always treat coworkers with respect
-self starter
-ability/experience pulling a trailer (preferred but not required)
-ability to safely operate a larger (Transit) van.
Physical Requirements/Intangibles:
willingness/ability to drive deliveries/pickups, willingness to see all driving tasks to their completion, flexibility, attention to detail, sense of humor
Likely a 1-2 day weekly work schedule. Deliveries occur mainly Thursdays / Fridays but not every Thursday & Friday. There are some other drives that may need covered on other days TBD. Work will be more regular from May on.
Compensation:
$14-$16/hour DOE
