Title: Datacenter TechnicianLocation: Winston Salem, NCDuration: Long TermThis job is a Data center Technician role – good in Break/fixing, cabling, some networking/storage and DC operation and maintenance- Provide hands-on Break/fix service restoration activities for all In-Scope HPE, Dell and IBM x86 servers
- Provide hands-on service restoration activities on all other inventory as defined in Appendix A under direction of Client. (Expanded Smart Hands Residents)
- Manage warranty claims for all In-Scope hardware on behalf of Client.
- Perform all data patch cabling for In-scope Hardware at in-scope Locations
- Install data patch panels, fiber boxes, trunk cables, and other structured cabling related components, as directed by Client and where permissible by local guidelines and regulations.
- Perform all physical data patch cabling for all projects within In-scope Locations.
- Perform data patch cabling upgrades and cabling decommission activities within In-scope Locations.
- Perform data cabling-related trouble shooting and repair activities.
- New structured cabling under-floor or overhead pulls or installations.
- Perform Hardware installations, moves, changes and decommissions for in-scope platforms at in-scope Locations as directed by Client.
- Data Center Hardware installations, moves and decommissions at locations not identified in Table 1.
- Installations, moves, and decommissions of electrical and/or mechanical systems and any systems agreed between the parties to be out of scope.
- Conduct logistics, inventory and asset tracking, as required by Client, including tracking changes to locations and statuses for Hardware at all in-scope Locations.
- Oversee asset tracking for in-transit Assets.
- Manage stock of cable supplies (includes maintenance of simple inventory) and inform Client when stock needs replenishing.
- Perform other general maintenance, cleanup, and general data center housekeeping and maintenance, as directed by client.
- Administer general data center upkeep and best practices.
- Perform other general or specific tasks and/or functions within the data center, per client direction that do not otherwise contradict specific clauses within this Work Order or represent an expansion of in-scope hardware or platforms not otherwise agreed between by Parties.
- Work with Client to schedule activities at appropriate and agreed times and dates.
