At Monroe Truck Equipment, as Purchasing Assistant, you will work alongside the current Purchasing Manager, assisting in purchasing items and ensuring the items are at the highest quality possible and are at the volume and dollar amount specified when ordered. The Purchasing Assistant will work closely with other departments within Southern Coach as well.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares and submits purchase orders for VMI (Vendor Management Inventory)
Manages vendor relationships, speaking with vendors on the phone and in person to resolve discrepancies, returns and acquires quotes from vendors
Expedites purchase orders received from ERP system
Makes purchases for all Monroe Truck product categories
Inputs new part numbers into the system
Maintains reporting for the procurement department.
