Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Blasting Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating a variety of blasting systems, including dry ice and other media, to clean, strip, and prepare surfaces in industrial environments. The ideal candidate has experience in abrasive or non-abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and understands the handling and application of blasting media or dry ice across different surfaces and equipment types.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate blasting equipment, including dry ice and other media systems (e.g., soda, sand, glass bead, plastic, or other materials)

Perform cleaning and surface preparation of industrial equipment, structures, and components according to job specifications

Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure proper treatment and quality standards

Handle and apply blasting contents safely and effectively in a variety of industrial environments

Set up, operate, and maintain blasting equipment, including compressors, hoses, and nozzles

Follow safety protocols, including use of PPE and compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations

Maintain accurate records of work performed, job supplies used, and job completion status

Work independently or as part of a team in potentially confined spaces, at heights, or in rugged environments

Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding job progress and any issues encountered

Qualifications:

6 months+ of experience in industrial blasting, surface prep, or related field preferred

Familiarity with different media types and appropriate applications

Strong understanding of safety procedures and equipment handling

Ability to read and interpret work orders, job plans, and technical specifications

Physically able to lift up to 50lbs, work in confined spaces, and operate equipment for extended periods

Valid driver’s license with CLEAN driving record

Proficient in towing various trailer(s)

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

OSHA 10/30 certification

Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection training

Familiarity with industrial coatings or painting is a plus

Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting blasting equipment
