Full Time Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk, under direction from the Warehouse Manager, will be responsible for shipping and receiving of goods, coordinating with carriers and logistics providers, performing quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products, and taking lead on quarterly inventory cycle counts. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of logistics and quality control processes. This position will be measured on the timeliness and accuracy of shipments, inventory receipts, and ability to meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring accurate tracking of inventory levels and timely order fulfillment.

Review upcoming shipments, pull inventory for production staff to customize prior to shipping, and pull inventory to ship without customization. Maintain organization of outgoing shipments and maintain warehouse organization.

Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping, enter shipping details on carrier websites such as FedEx and UPS, and create shipping paperwork and labels.

Review incoming containers with the Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager to ensure enough labor to efficiently unload containers.

Communicate effectively with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Utilize inventory management software and ERP systems such as Acumatica to perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.

Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products, ensuring that all products meet established quality standards.

Maintain accurate records of quality control checks and product inspections; report these findings to your manager within a week of receipt.

Train the production team on quality control processes.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Monitor and request supplies to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Any other duties as assigned, within reason for the position and as the business requires.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment and creating shipping paperwork and labels on carrier websites.

Strong understanding of concepts such as shipping collect, customers own account, and 3rd party billing. Attention to detail to ensure each shipment is sent out according to customer’s noted preference.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Pass a criminal background check.

Pay starts at $17/hour. An evaluation will be completed at 90 days for a possible raise depending on performance.
