This pivotal role requires leading cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, improving product quality, and enhancing TE's overall value proposition. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, a deep understanding of engineering principles, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and innovation across diverse projects. The Value Engineering Manager will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across departments.Key Responsibilities

Leadership: Manage and lead the value engineering team, providing clear direction and support to achieve objectives and deliver results.

Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with various departments such as R&D Engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and product management to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving / value enhancing strategies.

Cost reduction initiatives: Lead the identification of cost-saving opportunities through value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) methodology. Implement innovative solutions that eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Project management: Drive cross-functional VA/VE projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely completion while maintaining a high level of quality standards.

Data analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to identify key factors impacting product costs, quality, and value proposition. Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Continuous improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and implementing best practices for VA/VE processes across departments.

Communication: Effectively communicate project updates, cost savings, and opportunities with key stakeholders within the organization.

What your background should look like:Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Proven experience in value engineering, cost optimization, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Value Methodology Associate (VMA) Certification preferred

Minimum of 10 years in Automotive engineering, manufacturing, or industrial engineering experience.

Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and cost drivers.

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a collaborative environment.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel as needed to visit suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and other relevant locations.

Ability to work in a demanding environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Familiarity with relevant software tools, such as CAD/CAM software, cost estimation software, CoLabs and ERP systems preferred.
