Logistics Specialist

A Logistics Specialist's responsibilities may include:This role supports the tobacco industryPrepare, review, interpret, and ensure compliance of shipping documentation, primarily for incoming shipments, but may include outgoing shipmentsSupport business and client strategic goals after analyzing and assessing stability needsHave awareness of Tobacco Product Manufacturing Practices (TPMP)Have knowledge of import and export rules and regulations and compliance guidelinesCooperate with customs and interact with logistic experts to improve the shipping processArrange pick-ups and cooperate with external shipping partnersm, (may deliver materials to customers on-site)Communicate with internal clients regarding lead times and pick-up/delivery datesCompile and archive all relevant documentationAuthor and/or review technical documents and participate in daily meetings as requiredHandle shipping discrepancies/exceptions/deviations in an appropriate and timely manner, contributing or leading root cause investigations and helping to define and execute corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), assist with Quality and Regulatory Audits and interact directly with auditorsCommunicate with the Tax department, Customs, and Internal Customers as neededAssist in training of personnel
