- Provides administrative support for all HR disciplines, including data support.
- Performs clerical tasks in order to increase the efficiency of HR department and leaders.
- Monitors HR department systems and offices for day-to-day operational issues.
- Maintains proper documentation to ensure compliance and prepare for audit.
- Assists with additional operational tasks to support department as needed.
- Reporting Relationship: Role reports to Manager, Labor & Employee Relations – Interiors
- Works under direct supervision to provide assistance to the Employee & Labor Relations function
- Responds to email and phone inquiries regarding HR policies
- Maintains personnel records in relevant HR systems
- Maintains employee benefits records in relevant 3rd party systems for accurate billing data
- Manages the tactical processing of contractual requirements such as automatic increases, yearly wage increases, etc.
- Generates reports on personnel and benefits related data to provide to management and other third-parties as appropriate
- Liaises with tactical HR teams to troubleshoot employee requests and concerns pertaining to PTO, sick time, benefits, etc. in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Communicates employee change of status to Union leadership
- Prepares communication requested by management for distribution to supervisory teams and bargained employees
- Assists with other tasks as required
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Ability to manage and handle confidential information
- Demonstrated capability to communicate (written & verbal) and work effectively with all levels of the organization
