Financial Systems Conversion Specialist

Description The Financial Systems Consultant will be instrumental in guiding clients through the conversion process, from initial assessment and strategy development to implementation and post-conversion support. This individual will leverage their expertise in financial systems, process improvement, and project management to deliver successful chart of accounts conversion projects tailored to each client's unique needs and objectives.Key Responsibilities:Assessment and Strategy:Conduct thorough assessments of client's existing financial systems, chart of accounts structures, and business processes.Collaborate with client stakeholders to define conversion objectives, scope, and success criteria.Develop strategic conversion plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.Mapping and Design:Create detailed mapping tables to align accounts from the old chart of accounts to the new structure.Design an optimized chart of accounts layout and structure based on industry best practices and client requirements.Define account categories, subcategories, and numbering conventions to ensure clarity and consistency.Data Migration and Validation:Execute data migration activities to transfer financial data from the old chart of accounts to the new structure.Conduct rigorous data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of converted data.Address any discrepancies or issues identified during validation and make necessary adjustments.System Implementation and Process Improvement:Lead the implementation of new financial systems or enhancements to existing systems, ensuring alignment with conversion objectives and client needs.Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization throughout the conversion process.Implement best practices and streamline workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.Training and Support:Provide comprehensive training and support to client staff on utilizing the new chart of accounts, financial procedures, and reporting requirements.Collaborate closely with client teams to address questions, concerns, and challenges throughout the implementation process.Offer ongoing post-conversion support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.Documentation and Post-Conversion Review:Prepare detailed documentation of the conversion process, including mapping tables, procedures, and training materials.Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the conversion and identify opportunities for optimization.Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement.Requirements Excel Formulas, Excel VBA, Excelsius, Microsoft Excel, Conversion metrics, Conversion Optimization, Conversion strategies, Conversions, File Conversion, HRIS Conversion, System Conversion - Implementation, Financial System, Automate Processes, Business process consulting, Business process engineering, Business Process Execution Language, Business Process Functions, Business process improvement, Business process modeling, Business Process Re-Engineering, Continuous Process Improvement, Continuous processes, Evaluation Processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
