Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team located in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The primary function of this role is to manage the accounts payable department, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, as well as training staff members. Responsibilities: Implement new processes to enhance speed and accuracy of operations Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile Accounts Payable invoices Ensure prompt entry of all invoices to facilitate timely payments Develop and train accounts payable team members Manage Cash Flow forecasting Execute disbursements such as checks, ACH, and wire transfers Continually improve the AP process ensuring impeccable accuracy Generate accurate reports and present results as requested (cash, expenses, liabilities) Support and participate in month-end and year-end close process Develop and document processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Seek opportunities for improvement in efficiencies by partnering with internal colleagues Prepare necessary filing forms (1099, etc.) Perform other duties as required.Requirements Minimum of three years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the Accounts Payable function Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems In-depth knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) processes Prior work experience in the manufacturing industry would be advantageous Exceptional leadership abilities to oversee the accounts payable team Excellent communication skills for liaising with other departments and vendors Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the accounting field Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
