Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the planning and execution of menu items, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Participate in training new kitchen staff members as required.
Adapt to changing menu items or dietary requests from guests, demonstrating flexibility in food preparation.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred; high volume dining experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills, including knife skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with dietary needs and menu planning is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
