Job DescriptionA global manufacturing company is seeking a strong Software Developer to join their Data Science & Analytics organization that focuses on digital transformation solutions. Partnering with Data Science and Data Engineering teams (onshore and offshore), this individual will be responsible for optimizing the performance of calculation and simulation code for customer facing applications that was recently converted from C/C to Python. The ideal candidate should have strong hands on python coding skills, a basic understanding of C/C, and a background in applied mathematics or experience working extensively with mathematics intensive models. 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
Strong hands on Python programming experience - from scratch and optimizing existing code
Knowledge of C/C+- Strong knowledge of applied mathematics and mathematical modelling
Strong communication skills, experience working in a large enterprise environment, and experience interfacing with offshore teams - Experience creating Monte Carlo simulations
Experience with Algorithm development
Bachelors degree in applied math/math/engineering null
