This internship is designed to give interested candidates an introduction into the Water/Wastewater industry by giving them hands on experience at the Wilmington Wastewater Treatment Plant. A successful candidate should have an interest in the Water/Wastewater field with a heavy emphasis on Engineering, Science, or Math.
Assist technical staff in various projects related to the maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and associated facilities
Participate in projects/programs assigned by Parts Manager, including unit process troubleshooting and pilot studies
Use analytical skills to evaluate problems, gather and analyze data for use by other technical staff
Participate in technical meetings with O&M and engineering staff as it relates to job duties or assigned project
Conduct field work under the direct supervision of a manager in a safe manner
Here’s what you’ll need :
High School or higher
Experience with Microsoft Products including Excel and Word
Strong Organizational Skills
Experience working with diverse teams in a fast paced environment
Ability to work in the field and lift up to 40 lbs
