This position is responsible for leading successful business outcomes, streamlining the associated business processes, and ensuring proficient handling of business resources. Incumbents in this position are accountable to commercial leadership for: (i) achieving agreed-upon sales and financial targets with business analysis and forecasting, (ii) ensuring effective sales and service coverage, (iii) setting accurate quota allocation in their assigned geographic market, (iv) establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with key customer executives, (v) attracting, retaining, and developing highly qualified Account Managers to realize growth opportunities available in the assigned market, and (vi) providing service to customers consistent with Life Sciences and Laboratory Products Group standards and expectations.Success Profile

Consistently supervises the sales team’s results in the district to provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales supervising through Salesforce CRM and other designated IT tools.
Sets, negotiates, and supervises contracts/proposals/quotations within Thermo Fisher Scientific guidelines.
Ensures optimal pricing practices are in place across the team. Guides and approves pricing as needed to maintain and grow the business and increase margin with guidance from Senior Sales Management or Commercial Operations Finance department.
Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with many diverse customer audiences such as scientific leaders, researchers, procurement, lab operations, economic decision-makers, and other influencers to gain commitment, acquire resources, and achieve desired results.
Regularly supervises customer’s needs and bioscience’s product offerings to ensure needs are understood by team members and key group functions, and appropriate levels of service and responsiveness are provided to accounts.
EducationRequires a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience. A Master's or MBA degree is helpful.ExperienceRequires 5 plus years of experience in sales and account relationship management experience. Sales management and experience with a major company in the life science industry are preferred. The position requires 10%-30% overnight travel.What we offer:

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $95,000.00–$142,500.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
