Description of WorkThis position with NCDOT offers fullState Benefits (https://oshr.nc.gov/state-employee-resources/benefits) , competitive salaries and many career development opportunities. Salary Range: $34,936.00- $53,635.00 Salary Grade: NC 07The Primary Purpose of this position is to accurately post approximately 50 million dollars received each month into appropriate accounts and budgets using SAP. Daily bank deposits are prepared in accordance to Cash Management Policy. NCFS postings are made based on these deposits and should always validate entry in SAP. This position is an important part to the organizational functions. It records data to accounts throughout the SAP System to offset expenditures giving an accurate account and budget balance at month end close out. The position also processes the ITS billings for telecommunications and telephone services as well as any funds received from the Department of Administration for items sold at Surplus. The position serves as the Fixed Asset Coordinator for Accounting Operations as well as assists with EAGLE as required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / CompetenciesApplicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following: Knowledge of governmental accounting methods, procedures, and accounting practices. Experience presenting financial information clearly and concisely in oral and written form. Experience researching, identifying, and resolving discrepancies in accounting transactions.
