POSITION SUMMARY:The incumbent is responsible for various machines and monitoring on the Glass Mat production line for the state-of-the-art site in Oxford, NC.- Must possess a thorough understanding of the operation of the Delta Former, and its complexities.- If needed, must acquire additional technical training, classroom and/or practical, which will further enhance abilities that will meet individual and company needs.- Work includes various administrative duties including but not limited to management of the production systems.- Work is performed independently in accordance with plant practices and entails exposure to electrical, mechanical and process hazards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Interpret the input from various source data and make appropriate control adjustments
Understand and make necessary adjustments to various systems
Troubleshoot problems and defect issues related to the white water and binder systems, Delta Former and Saturator.
Implement and sustain 5S program in the Delta Former hut. Maintain a properly cleaned area in and around the Delta Former, Saturator and Resin tanks
Conduct shift hand-off meetings and effectively communicate with the team regarding issues as they arise.
Participate in WCM projects and activities as needed
Perform Visual inspection of the process. Be able to change products based on production scheduling while maintaining the highest quality standards
Participation and completion of required Environmental, Health and Safety training. Responsible for performing SMAT observations and other audit programs, cleaning, painting, and maintaining 5S system.
Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Qualifications/Skills/Experience
High School Diploma/GED
1-2 Years minimum Forklift Operating Experience
Current Forklift License
Industrial Manufacturing Experience preferred / Machine Design Experience / Computer Literacy
1 year minimum of manufacturing experience
Score the minimum score established by the company on a computer literacy test
Good working knowledge of Plant/Production policies, procedures.
Excellent communication skills are essential
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Able to support disaster recovery plans to ensure customers receive uninterrupted service during times of crisis.
Excellent Attendance Practices Required
Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs and maintain a positive demeanor.
Successful completion of training as a Pulper or Winder as well as Stacker, Wrapper and Dry End Assistant is required
Travelling may be required (up to 30%) for learning purposes. After the site is complete, significantly less travel is required.
