Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a PART TIME Controller in Troutman, North Carolina. This role involves managing various accounting functions within a small construction company, providing financial reporting, job cost and reconciliation, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable. This part-time role is based on-site for three days a week and offers a competitive hourly rate.Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Conduct job cost analysis and reconciliation for construction projects Generate financial reports for management review Collaborate with an external CPA firm, no CPA or MBA required for this role Review payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance Manage a full-time bookkeeper and ensure smooth daily operations Provide construction accounting expertise, handling billing at different project stages Monitor employee turnover and manage related accounting adjustments Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise for various accounting tasks and processes Handle customer credit inquiries, process credit applications, and maintain customer credit records Monitor customer credit accounts and take action to collect delinquent payments.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in Accounting Functions is essential Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Familiarity with Budget Processes is necessary Previous experience in Construction Accounting is highly desirable Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent leadership and team management abilities Proficient in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a must, a Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner Ability to work independently and in a team Proven strategic planning experience at the management level Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to improve processes Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
