Retail Market Manager - Eataly Eaton Centre

At Eataly this position is referred to as a Market Manager. Eataly’s bustling marketplaces feature a rich variety of unique, high-quality Italian and local products. The Market Manager oversees the Grocery and Housewares departments. Reports to the General Manager of Retail; manages the Grocery and Housewares team members.Organizes and directs the store’s Grocery and Housewares departments to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standardsManages the Grocery and Housewares teams: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll, evaluates  Creates the monthly promotion grid and designs the layout and promotional spots in the store with saleable merchandise according to Eataly’s policiesMaintains an orderly store aesthetic: ensures that only saleable merchandise is placed on the grocery shelves and promptly handles deleted, expired or otherwise non-saleable merchandiseMonitors stock levels and orders or requisitions supplies and merchandise as neededProcesses delivery orders, unloads stock trucks from distribution centers, and generates monthly reportsCommunicates and coordinates with the Marketing and Facilities departments on updates or issues with the overall layout of product and fixtures in the storeAnalyzes financial data and develops strategies to increase efficiencies and drive sales Performs other duties as required or assigned
