Operate, start, stop machine using appropriate control devices.

Diagnose machine problems, respond to sensor and message displays, and adjust machine accordingly.

Load materials, clear material jams, and make minor machine adjustments.

Perform light machine maintenance.

Perform machine and area cleaning as described in work instructions.

Perform all quality checks and test as described in work instructions and IWS.

Maintain non-tobacco material needed for production by inventory and insure they meet production specifications, perform quality checks, complete routine checks, set up machine for various blends, and classify finished product through direct interaction with advanced Manufacturing Execution System and Document Management System, Ignition, IWS and other computer applications as appropriate.

Perform procedures and work assignments in keeping with Company safety rules and all other policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Microsoft Office systems

WorkKeys: Reading-level 3 or above, Applied Mathematics-level 3 or above, Graphic Literacy @ level 3 or above, Workplace Observations level 2.

Technical background of operating machinery

BENEFICIAL

Industrial Systems Technology – Machine Operator Certificate

Certificate in a related field or military equivalent.

Three years operator experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment

Bonus Target: 7% percent
