Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and self-motivated Accounts Payable Clerk in Eagan, Minnesota. This role is in the telecom industry and will require you to ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications, maintain credit records, and handle customer credit inquiries. You will play a crucial role in monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary actions to collect overdue payments.Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications with precision and speed Uphold accurate records of customer credit Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner Monitor customer credit accounts regularly for any discrepancies or overdue payments Take appropriate actions to recover delinquent payments Balance and reconcile batch control totals with source documents or computer listings to locate and correct errors Prepare detailed statements, bills or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered Reconcile and post receipts for cash received by various departments Perform bookkeeping tasks, including posting data and maintaining records related to costs and shipments Apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed Proficient in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and other related accounting software to perform tasks efficiently. Requirements Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) functions Familiarity with payroll procedures Experience in documentation and invoice preparation Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Proficiency in using accounting software systems and other computer programs Ability to manage cash activity and perform bookkeeping functions Knowledge of billing and shipping functions Experience in preparing invoices, compiling data, and performing ad hoc financial duties Understanding of company policies and regulations Knowledge of accounting principles Strong written communication and critical thinking skills Ability to adhere to procedures and meet deadlines Experience with 'About Time' software for time tracking Ability to handle receipt management effectively Prior experience in accounting functions.
