Communication Specialist

YOUR TASKSManages the external and internal communication of the Sumter plant, being in charge with defining and implementing a transparent and efficient communication strategy - in agreement with the corporation's business goals, the Tires business strategy and the corporate communication guidelines, in order to ensure a positive image of the Sumter plant at all stakeholders.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACTDevelop and Align Communication Strategy: Create and implement a plant-wide communication strategy aligned with corporate and divisional goals; define and manage crisis communication with leadership.Media and Public Relations: Serve as the plant spokesperson, maintaining strong relationships with media, authorities, and the community; edit and manage all public-facing materials.Internal Communication: Lead internal communication efforts to engage employees and promote Continental as an employer of choice through various professional tools and channels.Public Affairs Representation: Represent the plant in meetings with local authorities and institutions when delegated by the Plant Manager.Labor Relations Communication: Support management in handling internal and external communications related to labor relations.Event and Agency Management: Oversee event planning, plant advertising, and coordination with external agencies.Communication Consulting and Training: Advise and train managers on communication best practices; participate in leadership meetings to cascade key messages.Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH): Promote and enforce ESH standards, ensure rapid response to hazards, and lead by example in safety practices.Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and proceduresOther duties as assignedNOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.THE ENVIRONMENTSafety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to.
