Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Shelby, North Carolina. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain and update the general ledger, support the Controller with closing processes, assist with annual audit reporting, and facilitate various accounting projects. This role is based in the telecom industry and will play a critical part in maintaining the financial health and operations of our organization.Responsibilities: Maintain and update the general ledger by posting daily financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payable Keep track of account balances and perform bank reconciliations Support the Controller with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings and returns Assist with annual audit reporting Facilitate various ad hoc accounting projects, including manufacturing cost accounting, budgets, and forecasts Thoroughly and accurately maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and controls Utilize skills in General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Cash Reconciliations, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks and projects effectively. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant field. A minimum of one year's experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar. Proficiency in General Ledger management. Experience with Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Cost Accounting. Demonstrable experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Cash Reconciliations. Proficiency in using NetSuite and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in work. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting principles. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge to keep up with industry trends and developments.
