Description:
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
Plan and conduct new hire orientation. Support HR manager with gathering necessary documents and paperwork for refereeing disputes and administering disciplinary procedures.
Processes I-9s and new hire paperwork Schedules and conducts exit interviews for voluntary resignations
Handles employee walk-up, IT questions, and Workday questions Manages timekeeping functions and employee personnel files Manages uniform orders and replacements
Manages safety shoe truck program and manages eligible employee list Manages reimbursements for safety shoes and glasses
Assists with all employee recognition activities May own special HR projects related to employee engagement and retention, including but not limited to the new hire Guardian program and monthly employee focus groups
Assists with facility events (student worker graduations, employee recognition events, etc.)

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required. 2-4 years customer service related experience required.
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action).
Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
