Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Application Support / Developer for acontract assignmentwith our financial services firm in Raleigh, NC. The Credit Derivatives support team in Raleigh is facing off directly to Trading in Credit, ITS, and SP. The team provides support for Trading risk and PnL systems. We believe that the support role on offer provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to experience a Front Office support environment. The candidate will have visibility of a significant number of trading platforms and will have day to day interaction with the various Trading desks. Responsibilities:

  • Strong analytical capability and ability to multi-task
  • The ability to take ownership of issues and follow through to resolution
  • An innovative approach and methodical & analytical style of problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with Front Office users
  • Ability to perform in a high pressure environment
  • Ability to adapt to a highly dynamic environment

  • Ability to work as part of a global team and provide an individual contribution.
Required Skills :
  • At least 3+ years in financial services IT industry
  • C#. NET experience is required
  • Strong technical skills a solid working knowledge of Windows, Oracle, Excel/VBA
  • Strong Credit and Fixed Income products knowledge ideally
  • Strong Experience in Risk and PnL generation.
  • SQL queries
  • XML
  • L2Support
  • Database understanding and ability to query effectively.
  • Strong demonstration of logical and analytical thinking
  • Good understanding of Windows server and desktop environments, for application layer support
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team collaboration and willing to learn new skills
