We help farmers deliver the best possible outcomes, working to achieve the balance between economic, environmental, and social value creation for sustainable and efficient agriculture.As a Licensing Business Lead (LBL), you will manage a team dedicated to servicing independent seed companies and national/regional retail accounts that in-license traits and germplasm from BASF. This role is crucial for advancing BASF's traits and genetics licensing business, achieving financial goals, and fostering impactful business relationships. The LBL ensures BASF is recognized as a reliable long-term supplier of traits and genetics. In this position, you will develop strong relationships with key customers, genetic suppliers, and industry influencers, while your team creates demand for new traits prior to market launch and serves as trusted advisors to key account leadership.As a Licensing Business Lead (Seeds & Traits) - Research Triangle Park, NC, you create chemistry by

Building out the licensing account management team.

Developing and delivering annual sales objectives aligned with U.S. financial targets.

Providing detailed forecasting in season.

Creating demand plans for new traits prior to market launch.

Leading the development of annual value positioning and competitive programs.

Managing team expense budgets, including promotional and travel expenses.

Recruiting target licensee seed company customers and negotiating agreements.

Establishing trust with customers as a reliable supplier of traits and genetics.

If you

Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

15+ years of professional experience, with 12+ including advanced education and/or highly specialized experience.

Minimum of 10 years of sales, key account management, and/or marketing experience in the agriculture industry with proven abilities to sell, negotiate, and influence. Commercial seed experience strongly preferred.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers, key industry/market influencers, and internal partners and teammates.

Lead, influence, and coach individuals in accomplishing defined objectives/goals.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and operate within a budget.
