Intern, Employee Health and Safety

This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2025. Resume review begins in January 2025. The RTP Bio Employee Health and Safety (EHS) team serves the site EHS needs which includes adherence to environmental and safety compliance and risk management. The team works closely with manufacturing, facilities, engineering, laboratories and other groups to help the organization ensure the safety of all employees and ensure environmental regulations are adhered to. To do this, EHS participates in many activities and tasks which includes inspections, investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, report generation, training and other key compliance activities.Position DescriptionThis role with help the organization ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and adherence to Biogen EHS Management System: Help the EHS department with communication materials.  Support inspections related to programs, (ladder safety, laboratory safety, etc.  Develop EHS Spotlight communications.  Conduct safety audits and inspections.  Complete chemical inventory in laboratories and manufacturing Data analytics of myEHS EHS Management system.  Under the direction of site personnel – assist with EHS event investigations. Liaison with the EHS department on special continuous improvement projects Help with site Sustainability initiatives
