As a Business Operations Intern, you’ll be encouraged to think creatively to make processes more efficient, identify better ways of doing things, and assess and address operational needs.About Our Internship Our Government Markets division has an opportunity for a Business Operations Intern currently enrolled in a North Carolina Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to join the Government Operations team from May 20 – July 26, 2024.We are the GO Team that keeps the Government Markets “train” on the tracks. We provide compliance assurance and operational oversight for all Government Markets segments – Medicare, Medicaid (Healthy Blue), and our Federal Employee Program (FEP). In addition to supporting administration of our segments of business, we also deliver the enterprise-wide Master Class Series, and ensure all Government Operations Associates have the opportunity to engage, grow, develop and learn. We put people first and believe in transformational growth for all. As a Business Operations Intern, you will work across three buckets of work: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) planning and implementation for the division, continuing professional education for employees, and the divisional work planning process.Desired Skills

The Must-Haves
You will be a rising Senior at one of the following North Carolina Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) participating in the NC HBCU Governor’s Program (https://www.northcarolina.edu/offices-and-services/government-relations/north-carolina-governors-historically-black-colleges-and-universities-internship-program/) - Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University, Johnson C. Smith University, North Carolina Central University or Shaw University in May 2024.
You’re available to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from May 20 – July 26, 2024.
You will be located in North Carolina during the internship program.
You’re legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Rising Senior: $21/hr.
