Position Responsibilities: • Engineers, configures, deploys, and maintains Web Application Firewall solutions on premise and in the cloud• Develops automation for security tools management and workflow integration• Configures new sites and applications for WAF protection, analysis of traffic to remove false positives• Creates WAF rules/signatures to mitigate threats and implements best practices• Managing production infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.• Security automation for the CI/CD pipeline.• Creates and updates documentation including security diagrams, policies, procedures, playbooks, and run books• Performs root cause analysis on incidents, issues, and determines the proper course of action• Supports and ensure the health and stability of the WAF platformMust Haves: • Solid understanding of web applications, web servers, application firewalls, frameworks and protocols with respect to web application development, deployment, and operation• Excellent understanding of OWASP Risks, Vulnerabilities and Mitigation Mechanisms • Strong written verbal and communication skills• Knowledge of industry best practices • Terraform scripting Nice to Haves: • Configuration Management experience such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar.• Python or other scripting familiarity• JSON • Experience with Regular Expressions• Experience with AWS and/or AzureEEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
