Their duties and responsibilities include:
Transporting patients from their homes to medical facilities and back
Assisting patients in embarking and disembarking the vehicle
Ensuring the vehicle is equipped with necessary medical equipment and supplies
Performing routine vehicle checks to ensure it is in good working order
Adhering to the assigned schedule for patient pick-ups and drop-offs
Maintaining accurate records of patient transportation activities
Ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient during transportation
Communicating with medical staff about patient’s condition and needs
Complying with health and safety regulations and procedures
Handling emergency situations in accordance to protocols
